The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) does not require employers to provide hearing aids to employees but does specify assistive technology that can be used with hearing aids, as long as it’s a reasonable accommodation.
The Gruv Button™ Retrofit also has international implications as it addresses both “reasonable accommodation” and “universal design” as defined in Article 2 of the United Nations Convention On The Rights Of Persons With Disabilities (CRPD).
